Suka Adventure
Suka has plenty to offer ... all included in the standard rates
Beaches and Ocean Swimming
There is not much surf due to the proximity of other islands. Swimming is safe and the beaches are delightful.
Kayaks
We have four double-seat ocean kayaks.
Fishing Trips
The staff will take you on on Indonesian-style fishing trip. All you have to do is ask!
Explore Other Islands
We own several other deserted islands which are perfect for picnics.
Binyoso
The Binyoso Group is about 30 minutes away by launch. Less by speedboat. Binyoso Besar (Big Binyoso), Binyoso Kecil (Small Binyoso) and Terli are the three islands in this group.
Lina
Lina is one of our islands about 20 minutes away from Suka by launch. It has a rocky beach and not ideal for a beach picnic but it is well worth exploring.
Suka Pricing
Suka Island's pricing model is similar to that of its bigger sister Pangkil Island, viz. the island has to be hired as a whole. Suka is slightly different in that the number of houses being hired needs to be nominated and charges are effectively per house with a four-house minimum, and a six-house maximum (which is the island's capacity).
We're currently in a soft-launch phase (ie we are not actively marketing the island) and as such will - for the time being - consider bookings with a two or three-house minimum. This still means that you have the entire island to yourselves! The island is used frequently by the owners, however should there be gaps in the weekend booking schedule, particularly when close to a prospective weekend (say two weeks out), then we'll certainly consider smaller bookings. We will rarely, if ever, consider a single-house booking.
Pricing Summary
All prices are in Singapore Dollars and include all government taxes, as well as service charges. The pricing is S$1,000 per house per night (based on two adults) or, for small groups, S$500 per adult per night. This includes three meals for the corresponding day (or 24-hour period to be precise) as well as unlimited snacks, coffee, tea and bottled water, transport to and from the island (to southern Bintan) by speedboat, full use of the boats (and staff!) for fishing trips and picnics on our other deserted islands.
Pricing Details
Suka's 'basic' rate is S$4,000 per night which is based on 4 couples, in any 4 of the 6 Driftwood and Java Houses. Please note that Suka is hired out as a whole and we do not hire out the individual houses, although as mentioned above, we'll consider bookings for less than 4 houses during our soft-launch phase (eg S$3,000 per night for 3 houses for 3 couples).
Additional adults are priced at S$350 per adult per night. Children (ages 3 to 12 inclusive) are priced at $150 per night. Infants (under 3) are free of charge. Maids are charged at the children's rate. Warning: Suka is suitable for small children ONLY if their parents are prepared to watch them at all times. The houses are close to the pool (and sea). The pool is not fenced and the houses are open.
Privacy
The houses all have a main double bed and a double day bed. The double day bed is suitable for sleeping overnight, but is not in a separate room and hence privacy will be an issue for two couples in the same house for example. The Square Bales are 'day huts' meant for slounging. They can be used as overflow accommodation.
Deposits
A deposit of SGD2,500 is needed to secure a Suka booking.
